UPDATE FOR PATIENTS
We would like to thank you all for your support and patience during these difficult times.
Prescriptions - these are now taking 3 working days to process. We check our emails and letter box constantly throughout the day. If there is a problem with your prescription we will contact you within the 3 days. Please go straight to your nominated chemist after this time. You do not need to calls us to check if it has been sent.
We will not be processing early requests until they are due and we cannot increase the quantity of medication to a longer supply
Wigmore Medical Centre would like to invite you to join Doctorlink.
We have been looking at how we can improve access to Practice services; Doctorlink is our new online service where you can access advice and appointments on line.
Registration is simple and you can register here:
For all urgent appointments, we ask that you undertake a symptom assessment through Doctorlink.
The symptom checker will ask you a number of questions to help to identify your problem.
The outcome of your assessment will direct you to the right treatment, whether emergency care, your GP, nurse or self care.
If your outcome indicates that an appointment is required, you simply click on the request appointment link.
Once the request has been submitted, you will then be contacted by the Practice Team, to arrange an appointment within the identified timeframe (as outlined in the outcome of your symptom checker).
The information you provide will be shared with our clinical team (where appropriate) and will assist in providing robust information of your problem to the required clinical team member prior to your appointment.
You can even download the App:
Wheelchair access is available throughout the building at Wigmore.
Unfortunately Hempstead Medical Centre is currently not accessible to wheelchair users and we would kindly request that patients needing to be seen make their appointments at the Wigmore branch. In the event that patients are unfit to travel to Wigmore please let a member of staff know and we can assess you for a home visit.
Please be advised that we may also may request consent for a referral to a suitable alternative professional to visit you including; Advance Community Practitioners, Community Paramedics or the Community Nursing Team.
A car park is available for our patients to use.
